SeaTalk NG to VHF NMEA 0183 Converter Kit
Feed GPS position information from the SeaTalk NG network to an older VHF radio with Digital Selective Calling (DSC). Many 1st generation DSC radios need vessel position fix data in NMEA 0183 format to support their distress, safety and calling features. This kit reads NMEA 2000 GPS/GNSS information from the SeaTalk NG network and outputs NMEA 0183 sentences to support older DSC VHF radios.
SEATALK NG TO VHF NMEA 0183 CONVERTER KIT
Used to provide 12 V dc power to the SeaTalk NG backbone - A06039:1 x Spur cable 1 m (3.3 ft). Used to connect a device to the SeaTalk NG backbone - A06071: 1 x NMEA 0183 VHF stripped-end (2 wire) to SeaTalk NG adapter cable 1 m (3.3 ft). Used to connect an NMEA 0183 VHF radio to the SeaTalk NG backbone via the NMEA 0183 VHF to SeaTalk NG converter - E22158:1 x SeaTalk to SeaTalk NG converter (part number: ). Each converter allows connection of 1 SeaTalk device and up to 2 SeaTalk NG devices - A06032:2 x Spur blanking plugs. Used to cover unused spur connections in 5-way blocks, T-piece connectors and SeaTalk to SeaTalk NG converter - A06031:2 x Backbone terminators. Terminators must be fitted to both ends of the SeaTalk NG backbone
